As AZL Premium Partner, DuPont Performance Materials (DPM) is co-locating research activities at the RWTH Aachen University

DuPont Performance Materials (DPM) has announced that it will extend its existing partnership with the Aachen Centre for Integrative Lightweight Production (AZL) to a “Premium Partnership” and for the first time ever co-locate its research activities on the RWTH Aachen University campus. AZL establishes a Workgroup on High-Performance SMC

AZL Aachen GmbH has established a Workgroup on High-Performance Sheet Molding Compound (SMC). Within an initial AZL Workshop more than 60 participants from the industry – including several automotive OEMs such as Audi, BMW, Ford, Hyundai, MAN, Toyota and Volkswagen – defined research and development topics for the future AZL Workgroup. AMAC´s partner Katcon acquires Exclusive License for Composite Automotive Body Parts from Magna Steyr

With effect of January 2016, the Mexican-based Automotive specialist Katcon Advanced Materials (Katcon) and Magna Steyr (Magna), a leading global, brand-independent engineering and manufacturing partner to automakers signed a 10-year-agreement regarding the exclusive license of Magna ́s „Crush Core Wetpressing technology for class- A-surface“ for the mass-production of Automotive body parts in Europe and the Americas.
